Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do I book you?
You start by sending a non-binding inquiry via email, contact form, or phone. We will then discuss the details. You also have the option to schedule a brief introductory call (via phone or video). Following this, I will create a custom offer including the date, time, location, scope of service, and fee. The contract is finalized once you accept the offer and I send a written booking confirmation via email. Both parties will then sign the contract.
How far in advance should I book?
The earlier, the better. Especially weekends and Christmas dates are often booked months in advance. For bookings made more than 6 weeks before the event, a deposit of 30% is due within 7 days.
Can I inquire at short notice?
Yes, this is generally possible. However, for bookings made less than 14 days before the event, the full amount is due within 3 business days. Please note that I may already be booked for your desired date.
Can I request a song that isn't in my repertoire?
Yes, that is usually fine. Special requests should be communicated at least 4 weeks before the event. I reserve the right to decline special requests if they do not fit my style or are technically unfeasible. I will provide you with a complete setlist no later than 7 days before the performance.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes, unless otherwise agreed, I bring my own equipment. If you provide your own PA system, it must be in perfect working order and operated by a qualified person. I assume no liability for damage to my equipment caused by improper operation of third-party systems.
How is an extension of the performance compensated?
For every started 15-minute extension: €50.00 gross. Payment can be made in cash on the day of the event (before leaving the venue) or via the final invoice (due within 14 days). An extension must be agreed upon at least 1 hour before the scheduled end, either directly on-site or via text message to your designated authorized contact person.
What happens if you become ill?
In case of illness or injury, I will inform you immediately and, upon request, submit a medical certificate within 5 business days. If a key member of a band is unavailable and no replacement can be found, the performance may be cancelled. In this case, the obligation to pay the fee is waived, and any amounts already paid will be refunded immediately. Since I cannot offer a replacement, I recommend that you arrange for a substitute artist yourself.
Is there a right of withdrawal?
According to § 312g Paragraph 2 No. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB), there is no right of withdrawal for contracts regarding musical performances for a specific event date, as these are entertainment/leisure services to be performed at a specific point in time. Your contractual right of cancellation according to § 8 of my Terms and Conditions remains unaffected.
Are we allowed to film or photograph the performance?
Private Use: You are permitted to take photos/videos for private use (including personal social media posts without monetization).
Commercial Use: Requires my written consent (e.g., advertising, sales, business profiles). I ask that you tag or mention me upon publication. This is not a contractual obligation.
Can you handle the GEMA registration?
Yes, upon request, I can handle the GEMA registration for an additional fee of €50.00 on top of the agreed honorarium. In this case, I am responsible for the timely and correct registration and payment of GEMA fees. The actual GEMA fees must be reimbursed by you separately and will be itemized on the final invoice. For private events: I recommend contacting GEMA in advance to determine if registration is required.
