Stanley Rubyn – African Pop Poet

STANLEY RUBYN

Stanley Rubyn, born Stanley Okoro, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter based in Germany, often described as the male counterpart to Tracy Chapman and compared to Jamaica's Garnett Silk. However, Stanley’s unique flair sets him apart, blending Afro-fusion and reggae with evocative storytelling and rhythms that captivate audiences. Raised in Limbe, Cameroon, to Nigerian parents, Stanley’s love for music was nurtured by his family’s daily songs and prayers. His upbringing on the streets of Limbe shaped his socially conscious lyrics, which resonate deeply with his listeners. Since his first studio session in 2004, Stanley has pursued music with passion, gaining recognition in Berlin through his powerful performances. His music has taken him across Europe, Asia, and Africa, sharing stages with legendary acts like Inner Circle and The New Power Generation. With a series of singles and albums under his belt, Stanley Rubyn’s journey continues to evolve. His latest release, Jolly for Life, reflects his ongoing commitment to crafting music that speaks to the heart and soul of his diverse audience.
